Description:

Rosewood is set at the end of the Civil War and is about a plantation in Tennessee. The plantation goes through changes in accordance with its many owners' wishes and is said to be haunted but then no one really knows for sure. In the story, Rosewood played an important part in the Confederate battle plan around Nashville although it will probably never be known, William Claiborne wanted it that way. Had William succeeded in completing his plan for Rosewood it could have dramatically changed the outcome of the war. In a time of courage, southern hospitality, a swash buckling hero and ladies of culture and class, Rosewood fits right in. A time when a handshake and your word was often the only contract needed to bind most business transactions. "Rosewood and Other Short Stories" only took a short time to write but it incorporates a lifetime of memories.

Book that takes you into civil war times;
chapter book that does not give reader rhymes.

Do you believe that history has ghosts;
may see that others tend the need for boasts.

A story that will capture many hearts;
will capture the civil war into parts.

Ladies’ life and love of intended man;
could change the way that the civil war ran.

Up to you to read this enchanting book;
if you have the time I suggest you look!

I love short stories and Rosewood takes first prize. The author said some of the stories were true and coming from Texas and a large family myself I identified with them all.Wonderful reading. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
