Garageband review of, "The Peruvian Queen" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat [ No Rating ] 19 Jul 2008
"Just Cool...The intro didn't do much but once it started rolling around the vocals started to bring me in more and it got better overall. Original feel and interesting arrangement, I love it. Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Bass, Lyrics, Melody, Best Feel Good Track."--Xmars6 Covina, California July 19th, 2008

Garageband review of, "She's a PhotoGenic Woman" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 29 May 2008 - "Song 1...I like the violin and the female background vocals. Good lyrics, nice ideas and thoughts...Simple song which is a very nice thing and the mix fits it nicely. Overall pretty good song. thank you for sharing your music."--Adam22gil Sparta, New Jersey May 20th, 2008

Garageband review of, "She's the 8th Wonder of My World" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 22 May 2008 - "Nicely arranged...nice violin and great backing vocals, they remind me of the beatles. vocals sound okay to me. love the instrumentation."--Phil_w Munich, Germany May 22nd, 2008

Garageband review of, "Lonely" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 20 May 2008 - "Dark and moody...This song has a creepy, spaced-out psychedelic vibe. Almost reminiscent of the Velvet Underground...the vocalist, I think he's got a great sound...The female backing vocals in the second verse were a nice touch. Look, there's some interesting stuff going on with the instruments on this song, especially the violin and ambient noise effects, I want to hear more of that!...this was a interesting song with a dark, spacey mood. Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Keyboards, Mood, Originality."--JKarner Madison, Wisconsin May 19th, 2008

GarageBand Review of "The Queen of Peruvian Land" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 17 May 2008 - "Hello...Yeah, this is nice. It really had me thinking. Provactive like Bob Dlyan can be. One of the better bands I've heard here. It's cool, I like it."--Rmusgrave1427 Scranton, Pennsylvania May 16th, 2008

GarageBand Review of "The Queen of Peruvian Land" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 17 May 2008 - "Unique groove, raunchy post-Dylan Dylan! The Song Snuck up on me! Nice simple melody lines hidden in speaking style vocals were very effective. Sex themes (indeed the word "sex" in the first line or so) helped to grab the attention. The only thing I'd change is make it a bit shorter... Execution-Tight, spot on from every performer. Production-Perfect: unobtrusive, delivers the song right to my ears the way it should be. A pleasure to stumble across this little gem! Extra Credit: Lyrics, Melody, Beat, Mood, Originality."--GreenAsJade May 14th, 2008

Garageband review of, "The Peruvian Queen" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 20 Jun 2008 - "Really cool song...really cool tone. at first i thought "ew i hate that snare sound.... (it reminded me of st.anger by metallica)" but as the actual song kicked in, i really liked the tone. the drum tone matches the crunchy guitar and soothing bass in almost key with the instruments. The vocals are very poppy and flow well with the bass. I like that the bass is the main sound, or at least louder in the mix... i find allot of groups cut out allot of bass. its good to hear talent. the guitar parts are well written for the song, no over done parts or showing off, yet great display of talent. Great place work and lead breaks. this song has a 'Dylan'ish sound to it, it reminds me of bob dylans mid 80s work. great mix and production. Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Drums, Bass, Production, Lyrics, Melody, Beat, Originality."--The_Ozmaster Weston, Toronto, Ontario, Canada June 18th, 2008

Garageband review of, "She Left a Teardrop Upon My Pillow" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 16 Jun 2008 - "Teardrop upon my pillow" 1-cool sneaky beat begins--and continues with the verse--singer sings great--but in my opinion--lyrics on the 'love song' side. but what was really cool about this tune is the use of the fiddle-sounding like the one in bob dylan's 'hurricane'--and the flute-like synths were great too"--Levavaran Freeport, New York May 17th, 2008

Garageband review of, "She Left Me Yesterday" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 16 Jun 2008 - "Bass a little boomy...Interesting beats right off the bat... The vocals were nice, and easy to hear. The guitars mixed really well with the vocals, and they didn't step on each other. The saxophone has a great tone to it. Overall, nice job!"--BrynnaCC Panorama City, California June 6th, 2008

Garageband review of, "I Already Miss You" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 16 Jun 2008 - "Hello...Nice mood at the beginning, The vox reminds me of the B-52s at times. The sax is a nice touch. Progressive Rock."--Rmusgrave1427 Scranton, Pennsylvania June 5th, 2008

Garageband review of, "I Already Miss You" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 16 Jun 2008 - "SONG ACHE (in a good way) For a moment i thought it was going to be a song on the Young Guns soundtrack but that cowboy moment gets corrected by an anguish-lined, male voice cleverly relating extreme heartbreak....after she's been gone for one day:)"--GryndRoddMuse Durban, Kwazulu Natal, South Africa June 6th, 2008

Garageband review of, "I'm Just a Ford Pickup Drivin Man" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat - "Watch Out for Those Limos...I don't sympathize with Simon Cowell but I felt like I was wearing his face as I was listening to this song, with my lower jaw hanging slightly open, kinda stunned. Very unusual, unique take on country music...I would have called it a cross between Willie Nelson and ZZ Top. The lyrics are very simplistic and down to earth. Very wide use of sounds/instruments which seemed strange but kept it interesting in a comedy sort of way. All I can say is it's a good thing you got outta that Limo. The beat was very simplistic as well. Extra Credit: Originality."--Darinporter Provo, Utah July 14th, 2008

Garageband review of, "The Peruvian Queen" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 14 Jul 2008 - "Unique...very unique use of the instruments in this song. you've really got a great sound and are very professional sounding and experienced."--Mister_Echo Burgage, Blessington,, Co. Garageband review of, "I Already Miss You" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 14 Jul 2008 - "Elements! Nice clean mix! Everything fits into its own space, and nothing gets drowned out. The acoustic sounds full and the percussion ensemble is very tasteful. Nice sax solo! I normally hate the sax, so its rare to actually be able to enjoy it. Bravo! Extra Credit: Production."--CornerKid Atlanta, Georgia July 9th, 2008

Garageband review of, "I Already Miss You" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 14 Jul 2008 - "Keeps Listener held...This is one of the more original songs I've heard on Garageband. The arrangement is terrific. Another strong point is the sax. Good stuff !! The entire piece of work sets a good tempo and mood from the start. Hats off to the songwriter!! The mood is set by the lyrics which are very decent. Can't say that about a lot of songs but this piece of music keeps the listener feeling what the idea being put out is. Very emotional. At 1:15, the backup vocals are great. Backup vocals are good throughout. 2:37 the sax is fantastic. Not an outstanding solo showing any versatility but matches what is playing and the mood perfectly!! Good idea...Overall, its rather good to listen to stuff that will do very well. I think in a live setting this would be very powerful. Good luck - I hope I have brought a few ideas to you. Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Mood, Originality, Best Feel Good Track."--JoeyJohnson, Winfield, West Virginia July 5th, 2008

Garageband review of, "Shambles" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 6 Jun 2008 - "Hello...Big heavy mood with the organ tones and the bass carrying the opening. Pink Floyd comes to mind, As well as Dylan, more so because of the singers voice."--Rmusgrave1427 Scranton, Pennsylvania June 5th, 2008

Garageband review of, "Shambles" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 6 Jun 2008 - "I been around this world...really liking the interaction of the cool keyboards and the vocals here--the organ sounds like that on the song 'stand'--the guy is telling a story in a pleasant voice--nice fresh concept--and build-up"--Levavaran Freeport, New York June 6th, 2008

Garageband review of, "I Already Miss You" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 5 Jun 2008 - "Not bad...Interesting from the beginning. Not a huge fan of the effects being used and the vocals are a little harsh and off a little. The chorus is interesting, the last thing I expected to hear in this song is the sax. Not really sure it fits the mood that you have going. You certainly have an original sound, but it will not appeal to everyone, but I guess that is why you have it in the alternative rock genre. I am not sure what to make of this song. It has its strong points and weaknesses, but overall not bad. Extra Credit: Mood."--Woody414141 Lexington, Kentucky June 5th, 2008

Garageband review of, "She Left Me Yesterday" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 5 Jun 2008 - "...initial drum Charlestons are too loud compared to the rest, but I love the guitar work and the vocals too it all kinda sounds like a male version of the Throwing Muses...hehehe!kinda! queer and pleasant!"--RapidHype Italy, Italy June 5th, 2008

Garageband review of, "I'm Just a Ford Pickup Drivin Man" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 5 Jun 2008 - "A DRUID REVIEW...THIS IS A INTERESTING COUNTRY ROCK CROSSING BETWEEN THE DOORS AND STEVE EARL. Garageband review of, "I'm Just a Ford Pickup Drivin Man" as performed by Brando Quin and RavenPheat 1 Jun 2008 - "Progressive southern country rock...This is certainly starting with a very minimalist experimental edge.
Maybe Captain Beefheart? It has a swampy feel to it especially when the harmonica enters. The vocal is bluesy and has a country rock twang to it. Would not be out of place in Lynyrd Skynyrd or the Allman Bros. Some nice blues rock guitar playing here! I'm assuming that the lyric tells a story...but I'd have to listen to it a few times before I worked it out. Overall...an interesting sound and style that...would sit well on a southern country rock station. Extra Credit: Mood."--SeanTimms Adelaide, South Australia, Australia May 22nd, 2008
