Description:

Part personal scrap book, part field guide to cheap thrills; Content: Selected Blog Posts from Jonnie 7-11 has been described as an “Instant Cult Classic”. Content presents a fragmented personal narrative patched together from selected blog posts. Specific topics of discussion include: cheap thrills, Alaska, pranks, childhood journal entries, Shriner autograph collection, the Amish, pee, cheating at the Cub Scout pinewood derby, romance, ex-carnies, interviews, security guard fantasies, soul food, schizophrenic coffee making, and found items. "Let this book remind you that somewhere out there in the flickering lights of the Del Taco sign, under the swaying palm trees of the OC, a man with a vision cares enough to write about those ephemeral moments that are born and pass away like mayflies ona summer night - brief, beautiful, pointless, and profound" - Amy Jo.

If literary great Mark Twain was a blogger, this is what his blog would be like. Mr. Gilliom's observations, storytelling, and sense of humor are all brilliant. This is the most life-altering book I have read since Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintainance. A must read.

This tome is chock full of history, nostalgia, humor, romance, cows, cheekery, crass anger, and even some things not mentioned in your average Playboy issue. Read this book, above all else, and you'll never want to put it down. It is a classic, friends.
The perfect coffee table book even if you don't have a coffee table.

Jonnie Gilliom is part Kerouac, part Steinbeck, part London, and a complete American original.
His pee story is classic.
If you only read one book in your life, this is the book.
