Henry Maddux was an impressionable child, abused, confused, and beaten down all his life - it seemed even God was against him. He dealt with life by "x-ing" out what bothered him through the scope of his hunting rifle. He seemed to have little choice but to become a serial killer - all the while those he loved haunted him and pushed him further and further.
