My favourite story on here so far, by miles and miles. ( but with Merlin in it, how can I not gush effusively?! )
This will be my second download/purchase on Lulu come payday, depending on just how much wonga payday brings! CD, an American, has done well in capturing the upper class drawing room culture of the UK, 'Punkie' notwithstanding.
( CD, would you conside changing this in any future revision? No? Ok, then! ).
Now take yourself off to Tom Selleck, Billy Crystal and Ted Danson and say 'This is how it's done, chaps!' I Award you Three Thumbs which are available on here, plus 8 million cyber thumbs which I've just awarded you from my own personal stash. Well done. Oh and get some sleep!!

I perused two excerpts from Mr. Moulton's work: Enter Merlin Tyana and CD's Last Case/CD's First Case. The copyright notices on them indicated that they were written approximately twelve years apart, and it's clear that Mr. Moulton's skill as a writer has grown during that time. Time well spent, I would say.

Merlin Tyana stories have a very different feeling from many of the mysteries being offered by action-hungry writers of today. These tales harken back to a more cerebral style, yet contain the heart of the characters, which is essentially what keeps readers coming back.

Overall, the work is nicely crafted and enjoyable.

This collection of short stories all featuring Merlin -the crime solver- is great, the way the reader is pulled into the drama from the first moment, and is cleverly left to deduce "Whodunnit" before the story does, it's an excellnt idea. The author's sense of humour comes across at the same time, you know that he has written these books for fun, he truly enjoys his craft.

Mr. Moulton, I really liked these. They aren't those silly romance things, yet they have a lot of romance in them. I can't wait for the next Merlin book!!! - Judy

Interrgeneric works usually leave me cold. These didn't. Keep up the good work. - A.
