Simon has lost his memory. He stands alone in a universe that is as strange and fantastic to him as it is to us. Join him and the friends he makes along the way as he takes his journey of discovery. As he learns just how fantastic and dangerous the universe can be. As he ponders what debt he owes the friends and family of his forgotten life and as he faces the truth of what it means to think and to be.

Simon of Space is truly a classic work of modern Sci-Fi. Originally published on the authors blog chapter by chapter as it was written the story is both easy to read and hard to put down. The authors imagination is constantly bringing forth new surprises and wonders while constantly tying it back to all that has gone before and delivering it in prose that flows smoothly.

Along the way the story includes such staples of Sci-Fi as space travel, alien species and sentient robots. Mixed in with characters that are deep and complex and so very human. Among them a drug addicted prostitute fleeing her past, a galactic princess fleeing her future. A holovision superstar who in trying to reclaim mankind's destiny destroyed the lives of millions. And a sentient robot who after 50 million hours of humans is losing his faith that we may ever redeem ourselves.

This beautiful tale is a historic work from one of this generations most promising Sci-Fi authors. Although not his first work of fiction this is the first major work in his "Burgerverse" universe in which the bulk of his subsequent work has been set. So in a sense this is where the epic story began. And it continues week by week, chapter by chapter at the "I am a Cheeseburger" blog.

Cheeseburger Brown has written an excellent science fiction novel here. I read it originally when it was published "blogger style" on his site, and I can't wait to get a few copies of this updated version for my family and myself.

This was the most enjoyable novel I have read in years, I'd highly recommend it to anybody who is a fan of the genre.
