Description:

This play is a comedy-drama with a strong biblical message. The patriarch of the Esben family, Ben Esben, dies leaving behind a valuable legacy—a crown fitted with precious jewels. Mr. Esben’s attorney and trustee of his estate, Justus Dempster, is left with the unenviable task of determining who of the assembled family members is worthy to receive the legacy. The potential recipients congregate in Attorney Dempster’s office where he tells them about the legacy and gives them the opportunity to prove their worthiness. After he digs through all of the pride and wickedness surrounding the group, the attorney does find a worthy party. Who will it be? Who will inherit the crown?
