Description:

The last ten years have been a time of growth and discovery for author Gregory Bernard Banks. He’s grown both as a person and as a writer, and in the process he’s found the purpose in life he’d spent the prior 31 years aimlessly searching for.

Now, for the first time, Gregory Banks, author, poet, and lifelong sufferer of Osteogenesis Imperfecta (a brittle bone disorder) gives insight into what makes him the person he is today, and how his development as a person has coincided with his development as a writer. He shares his feelings, his thoughts, his opinions, and many examples of both his writing and art as he takes you on A Writer’s Journey in Poetry & Prose.

Review: A Writer's Journey in Poetry and Prose [ No Rating ] 20 Nov 2006 (updated 20 Nov 2006)
Gregory Bernard Banks' book is easy to read, interesting, fascinating and very inspirational as the author provides us with a front row seat to his 10 year journey of growth and discovery. It's a marvelous adventure that follows his parallel development from an eager young student into an understanding, exemplary man and accomplished writer.

Mr. Banks' writing has a common sense approach that reflects a basic understanding of life "as it is," and reveals a voluminous depth and breadth of knowledge that allows him to easily connect life experiences with their correlative universal truths. His overall presentation is meaningful, powerful, frequently witty and very appealing.

Mr. Banks' autobiographical saga sets an example for all to emulate: It is warm, heartfelt and compelling - A Must Read!
Review: A Writer's Journey in Poetry and Prose [ No Rating ] 15 Oct 2006
As a rehabilitation counselor I have worked with a number of people with disabilities. Their life stories have always affected me and made me grateful for what I have. In Greg Banks book, "A Writer's Journey in Poetry and Prose" Banks exposes his most inner feelings about his disability and how he has used his disability as a spring board to seek skills he can do. This book is touching, heartwarming, and engrossing. Certainly a must read for everyone who wants to understand what it is like to live with a disability. My life has been changed by through Banks eloquent poetry and prose. A must read! I give it 6 stars.
