Description:

[Paperback] Ten new stories that will make you wonder if this world is stranger than our own, or our world is stranger than we know. Under the desert sun, three people face the final mystery on earth. On a downtown city rooftop a priest finds himself bargaining for his life. A man with no name wanders through a vast hotel, until he is almost rescued. A mysterious figure stands on the corner, hoping that today is the day he has been anticipating, for every day of someone else's life. From the alien's point of view, nothing went wrong today. A student bargains with powers beyond his comprehension to complete the work his family started centuries ago. A dove contemplates its ancient burden. Harry Talbot discovers he has a bespoke afterlife. Mr Patrick lies in wait in his bookshop, preparing for his new employee. Remembering Africa, a hunter admires his final trophy. From this world and the next, these are the UNTOLD TALES.

Unusual stuff indeed. [ No Rating ] 20 Sep 2007
A good first collection. Loved "Watching", it made me very uncomfortable but what a twist! "Recording Device", "Jump" and the almost Lovecraftian "Organic" were also very good. Well worth a read.
