I bought this book and read it after my husband (then fiancé) showed signs of wanting me to lead our household. After reading it by myself the first time, I talked with him about it, and then he read the book. Afterward he told me the book described just what he wanted, and our lives changed for the better from then on. We were happy before, but now we're both completely satisfied with our marriage and how we run our household. I'm the leader, but he's not just a follower. We consult each other, and I feel heard, listened to, and understood, not to mention that even my mother, who's been married for more than 40 years, has asked me what my secret is! I highly recommend this book to anyone who's considering getting married or who's been married for quite a while, like my parents. It's never too late! All you need is an open mind and a willingness to try new things. You'll be glad you did; I guarantee it!

Although I have always considered my marriage a good one, I have always been drawn to reading books on how to improve relationships. I bought this one because it looked interesting and the ad really piqued my curiousity. I found myself really drawn to the ideas but thought that there was no way my husband would ever go for it. He's a great guy, but he's always been an old fashioned "watch football all Sunday" sort of man. He's never done anything to suggest he wanted me to become head of the household like the book recommends. However, when I told him about this book, he seemed VERY interested. He actually started reading it himself after I was finished. It was HIS suggestion that we try the Bootcamp trial period that the book suggests. So far, so good. He's still definately a man's man, but he's softened up and opened up to me in so many ways. While I definately like having a little more control in our marriage, he absolutely LOVES it. He's now doing way more housework, communicating with me better than ever... and in the bedroom I get SOOOO much more attention. While this book may not be for everybody, I think of women and men would be open to its ideas... especially given the way it is all presented.

This book was like a dream come true. I always wanted this kind of relationship with my wife, but never knew how to approach her about it. As far as I know, this is the only low-key introduction to a female-led household anywhere... in a book or on a website. My very traditional wife has now read it and embraces it completely. It really works for us.

This book was given to me as suggested reading from my husband. I was amazed by what it had to offer, and more amazed that he took enough interest in it to give it to me. We have already started practicing what it preaches and I have never enjoyed my marriage more.
