Having had occasion in the past to use manuals and self-help books, I found many of them turgid, boring and depressing in themselves. One expected me to do hours of writing in a workbook every day, detailing my sorry thoughts. Pip Wilson's handbook, on the other hand, is a pleasure to read, has wit and style, doesn't patronise, and is very practical. He says himself that it's not necessarily the complete answer for those with clinical depression who may need medication. But this book will help. And if all you have is a recurring dose of the blues, you'll still love the FeelGood Manual. It's eminently practical, easy reading, entertaining, and most of all it works. The author's knowledge and first hand experience of how to lift one's mood and improve one's quality of life through simple techniques are invaluable. This book gives a boost in morale, self esteem and general all-round happiness. I still use it to brighten my daily life, even though my days of medication are over.
The Feel Good Manual is a phenomenal work! It is not just for those of us who suffer from depression and feelings of dispair. Feel Good is for anyone who realizes a more positive approach to life might benefit them. Pip Wilson has the insight and deep understanding that could only come from someone actually living the experience of being "in the trenches". Spiritually, mentally and emotionally uplifting, The Feel Good Manual is a must read of all who seek internal peace and serenity. It is the ultimate expression of the sublimation of suffering. Mr. Wilson "walks the talk". There can be no better teacher.
It is excellent. It is not just a good read, but is useful, and will be useful to any person who reads it.Pip Wolson has a good depth of feeling and a great ability to pass on advice and information of high value.
If you ever find yourself in a funk, and want out, this is one book that will do the trick. Pip's knowledge and experience in the human condition and many other similarities of the human soul knows exactly how to assist a hurting soul in "The Feel Good Manual" whereby getting into deep and troubled souls while extricating the "dis-ease" we all have once in awhile.
This manual is a must have!

Having suffered with depression since the age of 6 and undergone therapy, I can recommend this book as an effective mean to keep the dark cloud of depression at bay. Even for those of us who have managed to get out of it, we still have our bad days and this has proven to be a perfect quick fix.
Read it and you'll be able to see for yourself. If nothing else happen,at least it makes for enjoyable reading.
