Description:Motor-V is a humorous look at a serious subject. When an Iranian faction initiates a terrorist plot against the United States, it is brought to an ignominious end ... not by clever spies in the CIA nor by the steely-eyed agents of our FBI … but by the Arizona Motor Vehicle Division, a love-struck goat herder, and a van full of dynamite. Clever story told by an insider familiar with the workings of giant bureaucracies and up-close experience with the bad guys. Catch 22 has nothing on the DMV. Engaging and entertaining.
Talk about your unusual premise: a terrorist plot foiled by the folks at the Motor Vehicle Division. It would be scary to think that we rely too heavily on the stereotypical MVD for our safety, but the author clearly knew enough about the MVD and its operations and people to make the story work.
I found the book a fairly easy read and recommend it as something different.
