Anne - your work is great. Have you ever thought of designing book covers? I like the character and subtle coloring of your art and you may be wise to consider expanding your field.

After taking a look at the beautiful preview and first pages of this delightful childrens book - I think that I may still be a child below the age of 7 - for even an old fellow, photographer, poet, and simple factory worker like me who comes from THE WHALING CITY where I pass by our historic WHALING MUSEUM and fishing port every day on my way to work - was amazed by the colorful illustrations and the fine and simple poetry that appears below that gets this fine and wonderful FISH STORY off to a wonderful start.

"Captain Dan and sailor Sam,
sailed out to catch fish for tea.
They sailed away, on a sunny day,
too far for the eye to see.
The sea was blue, and the sky was too,
they were as happy as they could be."

This would make a truly fine and unique gift for the children - as well as for Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, & Grandpa, too - and especially for anyone who knows a hard working fisherman.
