I ordered the book not knowing that it first had to go to the 'press' and then it would be shipped. I had shipped it via Meida Mail and when I recieved my confirmation email I thought - "This will take a while...." I placed my order on 9/26/07 and didn't expect it until about 3 weeks later. Well I was suprised when I recieved it today(10/05/07). One week and two days --- not bad at all...considering my shipping cost($4.00).

The book is well constructed just like any other book you would purchase, the content is good, and will be a great reference when I complete my #1 selling game....

Ordering and Shipping


I was very happy with the speed in which the order was processed and shipped, how well the book was packaged, etc.


The Book


This is the first book I've ordered from Lulu, and after having read the way the site works, I was curious as to what the quality of the book would be like, physically.


The construction of the book was first rate. Good cover stock, well bound, and thick paper. Fantastic.


As to the content of the book, I was hoping for two things:

(1) Copious code examples
(2) The entire API in printed form, hopefully with usage examples.

There were indeed some tutorials, and those tutorials were *VERY* good, but they were few. I would like to have seen more, and more information given on technique.

There was indeed a printed listing of all "commands", with some explanation for each one, but *NO* usage examples given.

Summary


For what you get for the money, including shipping, it is well worth the price. I am happy with my purchase.


As to Lulu, I would order with out hesitation again from them. They get the book shipped out quickly, and put out a quality product.
