I fell in love with the place, the people and the enchanting Northfield Chateau. I pleaded with my parents to send me to the boarding school, but they would not. I was left with the memories of that summer, a passion for anything to do with the Chat and an unexplained loyalty to the school I never attended. When I became an adult I began sending money to the alumnae fund. A flustered secretary phoned me asking what class I was affiliated with. That is the day I became a member of the Class of 1964. In 2004 the announcement came that the Northfield campus was closing. It was my last chance to go back and so I did...for "my" 40th Reunion. For those who loved the Chateau as much as I did, there are pictures and even floor plans. And names have not been changed. Everyone is given full credit for who they are. Listed in: |
