The Basic Format includes indenting new lines, double spacing the document, and chapter breaks. It also includes resizing Word (or similar) document to any of these sizes: 6”x 9”, 7.5”x 7.5” (square), 8.5”x 11” (journal size), 4.25”x 6.875 (pocket size) and setting margins to fit the document size. This service also includes inserting a title page (if requested) and a copyright page (if requested). The new Word document will be justified according to the author's wishes; left, right or fully justified. It includes page numbering and headers and footers. We will remove incorrect formatting such as unnecessary carriage breaks, manual double spacing, badly formatted tabs, unnecessarily hyphenated words (caused by news lines). It does not include conversion to pdf. Please do not purchase this service without prior contact with us as we will request a 2000 word/7 pages sample before an order is purchased. This ensures that both author and formatter are happy with the level of work involved. It also gives the author an opportunity to discuss exactly what their requirements are, e.g. size, justification, etc. The Basic Format can include changes until the format is satisfactory to both parties, up to a maximum of three revisions. The format will take approximately one week. The Basic Format can be purchased in conjunction with an edit or on its own.

We also offer an Advanced formatting service. This service includes all the options from the Basic Formatting service and is suitable for manuscripts that have images/pictures. The images/pictures can be pre-inserted into the manuscript; or they can be in jpeg or similar form ready to insert into the manuscript where indicated by the author. The cost of this service depends on the size of the manuscript and the quantity of images to be included. Please contact us for a free quotation.
