John, thanks for inviting me into your home and sharing your family's awesome journey. You have inspired me to be more appreciative of my freedoms and of our soldiers. Thanks so much for your wonderful gift. Blessings, Maria Neumann
This book should be on every ones library shelf and should be a required reading for everyone.
It is wonderfully written and full of compassion and hope.
This book is a keeper. It makes one realize what our Military men and women encounter - both in peace and war. The journal entries of the father was written from the heart; he shared his feelings about how uncertain and how painful the situation was for his son, his family and himself. He was not afraid to express his love for his son, his country or for God who truly kept his son safe. God Bless America!
Makes you remember why you love the U.S.A. and why the young men are fighting for our way of life. Very moving.
I read this book in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. I laughed and cried and found the book very heart warming The real experiences of having a family member serving in the military to keep America free.
This was an excellent book. It made me laugh and cry and it has made me think about our Marines in Iraq. It is easy to read. I could not put the book down until I finished it. It is well worth the time to read.
