Did you know you can purchase chocolate bars flavored with chili? Indeed. Rich dark chocolate bars...just another delicious treat, until a few bites in when you realize your mouth is on fire. All the Pretty Girls is a bar of gourmet chili flavored chocolate. Dark, decadent, indulgent...and pure evil. Although it's only a handful of poems and short stories, the selections are so powerful the pages could well burn your fingers. I was addicted by the time I finished Consummate, the first story. I devoured the entire book in record time--then I read it again. As a matter of fact, I believe I have read the book in it's entirety about 8 times now. And I assure you, I will be reading it again (and again) as soon as possible.
If you enjoy healthy helpings of sin with your horror, you will not find a more satisfying treat than Mary Goff's collection. With 9 stories and poems, it is the most fiery eye candy I've consumed in a long, long time. Willie Wonka has nothing on Ms. Goff. I sincerely hope to see more of Mary's stuff in print. Preferably very soon...hint hint!
