Well crafted photographs that inspire a wide range of emotions in all but the most cold-hearted of us.

Sam Portera takes us on a journey back through New Orleans neighborhoods destroyed by Katrina and by means of his gift for photography lets us see, and feel, the aftermath of the flood as only a longtime resident of that great American city can.

After The Water is an important work, and cannot be recommended too highly. Order yours today!

This is THE best book on New Orleans after the devasting Hurricane Katrina.

Mr. Portera was born and raised in New Orleans and continues his life there today.

His eye is better than most and this book puts to shame ever other book about Katrina, no matter who produced it.

Sam deserves recognition for this work. When you receive yours, tell the world about it. Then give them a link to order it.

Great job Sam !

What a wonderful book from Sam Portera. The work he has created documenting his surroundings, what remains of his home and belongings is to me nothing short of stunning. How one can work with such clarity under a stress I cannot imagine is beyond me. With all due respect to them, others simply drop in, do their work, publish their books, etc. Sam lives it. There is no going home. His work inspires and breaks my heart at the same time.
