Bonded by Blood is an anthology featuring 16 of the best short horror stories originally published by SNM Magazine. The stories are classic "fireside" horror tales that make warm reading on a cold, dark, October evening. Each is unique in subject matter, but all 16 present clear plots that make for captivating and enjoyable reads. The content has extremely dark yet poetic visions of horror and the macabre. They will linger in long after you put the book down.
Jeanna Tendean’s “The Rosebush,” presents a setting haunted by the personal memory of incest and child abuse framed as a tale told by a Faulkneresque narrator; while Wendy Brewer’s “Deadlands” offers a poignant story of two crippled war enemies alone on the battlefield, facing the imminent onslaught of a creature reminiscent of “The Blob.” There are deep, haunting stories of what being dead may be like as penned by Anthony Bernstein, Jason Keene and Steven Marshall. There are tales of dark fiction, breaching the mind set of killers and murderers as told by James Cheetham, Jade Eckert, Al Canlin, Ken Kupstis, Ben Eads, Charlotte Gledson, Elizadeth Hetherington. If you crave the frisson of a chilling ghost story, meet Laura Bickle. If you fancy the erotica of lustful demons, try Teri Jacobs. If you want to glimpse life after the end of the world, read Tamara Wilhite. If you want to experience a new breed of horror and dark fiction, you'll just have to pick up your own copy of Bonded by Blood.
