Thank you for your hard work and dedication in making available the Old Latin Vulgate for study and reflection at a very affordable price. This is a Catholic Bible and yes, the deuterocanonical books (which are missing from the Protestant canon of the Bible) are included. There are 46 books in the old testament and 27 books in the new testament for a total of 73 books. Although the book preview doesn't show, this Bible was approved and published with approbation from the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales (CBCEW) dated Jan 9, 2006. A paperback version is also available from lulu for less, but this hardcover edition is definately a must have! Physically, the Bible exteriorly measures about 16 x 23.5 x 4.25 cm and is nicely bound with a blue hardcover and a simple whitish laminated paper dust cover. Consider protecting the dust cover with a clear book jacket cover (like those from Brodart, etc). The pages of the book are printed on good quality thick off-white cream-colored paper. The text is laid out handsomely with text in two-columns; although the text may be smaller than other print Bibles of similar size, I still found it very easy and pleasant to read. This Bible is also available as a free download where you can preview the text. The Bible does not come with any pictures or maps or footnotes, just the perfect text of the Word of God. The editor does a great job of maintaining Latin diphthongs when certain vowels are linked or ligated together. I placed my order on 4/30, the item was printed then shipped on 5/11th-13th and I received it USPS Media Mail on 5/16.
