Joseph’s Star – A Wonderful Book of Inspiring and Uplifting Poetry for Ages to Come!
[ No Rating ]

What a wonderful book this is by Christina R. Jussaume! This is her fourth poetry book, which embarks upon an excellent journey in creative writing. Christina has shown that she is in not just a poetess who writes books; she has proven that she is a poetess of poetry in the figurative and literary sense. This book is just awesome and should be an integral part of the creative writing curriculum in many schools.
Christina poetic artistry is elevating, her ability to conceptualize with metaphors is inspiring, and her quality of style in creating images for the reader is stimulating. Surely, she should be considered one of the 21st Century great poetess, which she has demonstrated with her eclectic style of poetic articulation.
Her presentations in the book have given a breath of fresh life to the seasons of the year. She brings flowers, plants, birds, and nature to existence in “Prayer for Wildlife,” with the use of the Kyrielle poetic form. The double etheree poetic form gives warmth to the poem of “Spring.” The hourglass poetic style gives rays to the poem “The Brilliant Sun.” Finally, the terza rima sonnet gives sparkling snowy mist to the poem “The Winter Landscape Scene.” Naturally, this demonstration of her love and appreciation of nature and God has been reflected beautifully in these poems.
Any reader will be able to understand her respect for the poetic craft by reading the poem “Passion for Poetry” written in sonnet form, where she outlines her stimulation for poetry as a stress releasing process. Her respect for the poetic craft shines in the poem “Words as Therapy” with the use of the blank verse poetry form. This is a demonstration of her finer qualities of poetry. The royal chant poetry form speaks to her poetic license in the poem “Our World Today,” and the hourglass form is emblematic of how poetry removes the blues and gives bliss in the poem “A Poet’s Legacy.” Certainly her love for the poetic craft is at work through her muse in the articulation of these poetic forms.
Christina has always given praise to her family and friends. For example, each of her books has shown her family as a motivational force standing with her. Credit is given to her parents in the poem “Memories of Mom and Dad,” to fathers in the poem “To All Fathers,” and to mothers in the poem “For Mom on Mother’s Day.” Furthermore, she has a bonding with her friends. For example, Pat Simpson, who is her publisher in the United Kingdom, is always there. Additionally, Daveda Gruber, “The Blonde Who Found Jesus,” with the charming smile from Canada sticks with her as a supporter.
In summary, the motifs and magnificent pictures gracing this wonderful poetry book make the pages easier to read, more stimulating, and enlightening. The art work she presents in the book activates the senses and brings more meaning of life in the interpretations of poetic symbolism, thus heightening the impact of the poems. Reading this book and getting the holistic picture is a great undertaking for everyone to experience.

This review is for “Joseph’s Star of Eternal Promise”, the 4th book of Christina R Jussaume. I have all of her books and each one is unique in its content and spiritual value and message. Within this collection she used over 70 styles of poetry and has a full poetic glossary to teach anyone that is a writer. She writes from within her inner core using dreams and Holy Spirit to guide her muse. This collection is about God and nature and is very beautiful. She shares some of her own poetry forms that she has created and they are very nicely done. The glossary is in the back so as to not interfere with anyone’s reading pleasure. The book is kept by my bedside table to read to relax my thoughts and bring me peace before I go to sleep for the night. I would highly recommend this book and all of her other books as an outstanding collection that would greatly enhance anyone’s poetry collection.
