A wonderful book full of colour about the life of Evelyn growing up and raising her family in mid coast Maine, USA. It provides an excellent glimpse into the life of this part of the USA as lived by a real person and unfiltered by literary notions of life or how the world should be described. An excellent work all in all by the author Constance Painter.
