It takes place in the Scottish Highlands just after Robert the Bruce ran the English out of Scotland (a favorite historical period of mine), in the imaginary village of Lochnora. Here we meet the dainty, beautiful Meg, known as Meggie to those who love here. She is set upon while enjoying a private moment in a secluded glen, and who should come to her rescue? The oldest son of the sick and ailing Laird MacLeod. Once he becomes Laird of the clan, he weds Meg, but there are other forces at hand, trying to keep them apart. Only their love for each other can keep them together through the deceit. Keywords:Listed in: |
