“Down the Road We Came” is the second book of Robert Hewett Sr. I would highly recommend this book for all ages. It was a comfort to me, and took me away to treasured memories he shared and mystical enchanting stories written in poetic rhyme. I picked up the book and off I went on a voyage to faraway lands with animal characters and fabulous adventures. The stories are a true delight and have magical quality as well. Some of the stories were from his childhood and certainly were heirloom treasures to be enjoyed by all. This will be a delightful collection to read to my Grandchildren. The imagery he portrays within the scenes is precious, and the black and white photos really enhance his written words! Also he included some lovely spiritual poems that have uplifting qualities. This collection is wonderful for children as morals are taught within it. They could read themselves or it could be read before they go to bed for the night. I certainly will look forward to any future books by this Author. Kudos to you Robert on your second most wonderful book!
