Rev. Dr. Matsuoka Roshi is, in my opinion, one of the most deeply influential Zen teachers if the modern age. I consider myself very fortunate to have been exposed. I hope people, through the practice of Zazen, will come to appreciate the depth hidden within the simplicity of these lectures.
This collection of teachings touched me very much: Soyu Matsuoka, Roshi obviously put all his heart and wisdom in this collection of teachings which he edited and assembled himslef prior to passing away a few years ago. His observations and traditional teachings contain great insights useful to Zen practitioners and others who might have an interest in knowing more about contemporary aspects of Buddhism. It's a very different approach to teaching from any other Zen book I have ever read before. I highly recommend it!
