As an experienced manufacturing executive and implementer of several MRPII systems, I found Working the Plan to be informative and worth the read. The format was especially valuable in that it convincingly made the "case for RPM" in the first chapter, provided good educational materials in a workshop format, and covered some excellent RPM implementation issues. All those involved in manufacturing planning and execution should read this and consider RPM as their next high value project.

With Working the Plan, Bob Turek has taken on the task of creating the first entry into the "body of knowledge" about RPM. He has succeeded in providing a well rounded offering covering the business case, education, implementation and value. A great first effort that is obviously designed to bring everyone up to speed on this APICS Innovation Award winning concept.

"Working the Plan" does a great job of presenting RPM – with enough detail and examples to show that it really works and is deceptively easy to implement. A few hours reading Working the Plan is a great investment in your company's future success.
