Printed: 156 pages, 8.26" x 11.69", perfect binding, black and white interior ink Description:Written by an early European tea planter, William M. Fraser, describing his memories of Assam, the Dooars and Sylhet, between 1894, and 1935. Originally published by the Tea and Rubber Mail in 1935, this version has been edited by J.T.M. McNie, son of the Superintendent of the Deundi Tea Company, who served in the Sylhet gardens of James Warren and Sons, from 1923 to 1963, from his father's footnotes, who knew many of the characters mentioned in The Recollections, well enough to correct some of Fraser's original observations and dates, and to add to the original commentary.
