Rich Handley's Timeline of the Planet of the Apes is a magnificent labor of love. He's taken on the staggering task of trying to make sense out of the jumble of contradictory facts and figures -- not to mention temporal paradoxes -- in the five original movies, the live-action and animated TV series, Tim Burton's remake, and more, presenting a fascinating chronology of humanity's downfall, the rise of the apes, and the ultimate fate of our planet. The book is gorgeously designed, handsomely printed, copiously annotated, and more fun than -- you guessed it! -- a barrel of monkeys. Highly recommended.

-- Robert J. Sawyer, Hugo Award-winning author of Hominids

This book is huge - way larger than I expected in dimensions and jam packed full of info. Unbelievable breakdown of material from all TV shows, movies, comics, books, records etc. Plus a full index to all these items and a photo gallery of every item. The ultimate POTA reference book !!

Received my book today (super fast, was not expecting it before the holiday's) & it surpassed my expectations. First off, its a monster. Quite a bit larger than I assumed it would be & the illustrations were a great touch. I honestly believed this was going to be another Timeline typed up by a fanboy with too much free time, like the many "Fanzines" I've stumbled across. I couldn't be more wrong. It is so very detailed with comic, novel, & movie covers to accompany each passage & a terrific source gallery to finish it out. I purchased this book to support a new "Apes" project & because I've come to know Rich from the "Yahoo Planet of the Apes discussion group" but I truly did not expect to be this happy with the outcome. Congrats to all involved & thank you.
