Balancing the Bowl is a thorough, practical, albeit brief, guide to life with multiple food allergies. The recipes are creative and Ms. Delaine throws in some handy extras in the form of a Guide to Reading Food Labels and a Glossary, among others. Great job!
Where do I start? My toddler has egg, milk, soy, wheat, honey, curry & peanut allergies. As you can imagine it is awful to find food for him, in addition to dealing with a picky eater. This book is WONDERFUL! I have searched for a cookbook that accomadated all his allergies and this is the book. Has a variety of recipes from main dishes, breads, cakes and many side dishes. For celiac suffers the author has many gluten free recipes and ideas to sub for others. Our toddler also has celiac. It is very easy to follow even for a brand new cook like me. Although, our toddler is the one with food alleriges our entire family loves the foods I make from it. I was able to also ask the author questions and the response was wonderful. I am looking forward to the next book! A+++++++++++++
