Follow New York's Bravest through a pictorial essay into the world of firefighting. See why the firefighters of the F.D.N.Y. are considered among the busiest in the world. Everything from the routine and punishing all-hands fire (1-alarm) to the more spectacular blazes such as Greenpoint, Brooklyn's 10th alarm in May of 2006. With over 150 action fire scene photos & members of the job covering 136 full color pages. This is truly a future collectors item! The photographer, Daniel P. Alfonso is also a fireman in the F.D.N.Y. assigned to Engine Co. 303 in South Jamaica, Queens. Prior to his appointment to firefighter, Daniel was a dispatcher for the F.D.N.Y. and worked in the Bronx. His work has appeared on local media stations and has been published in N.Y.C Newspapers, W.N.Y.F (the official F.D.N.Y. training publication) and Firehouse Magazine. He has been photographing N.Y.C. blazes for over 15 years.
