Description:
No trio ever essembled has been able to capture the true essence of the spirit of the 60's, until now.
THE ENVOYS, directed by ASCAP composer Harold Jennings and Jack Johnson first performed and recorded in a trio called "The Jay Dees". Separated for a time while both served in the U.S. Military, Harold went on to perform with a band called "History of Rock & Roll", while Jack performed and recorded with a band called "Bananas & Doverspike". Reunited again but now joined by Jack's son Jon who performs as their solo artist and now together for the first time, an album from all of them, "The Girl on the Hill".
This CD contains three original ballads written and composed by Harold Jennings (ASCAP). The remainder cover songs on this album are the Envoy's tribute to their favorite folk music artists.
"Girl on the Hill" and "Ferry Boats and Dreams" can also be seen on music videos at www.lulu.com/studio57a/
