Touche and charming, filled with love, hate, sadness, and emotions. The view of an 'alien' in the world both so alien, yet so familiar. An impossible feeling across the border of races and...species, xenophobia and humiliation, warfare and deaths.
What would you do if you wake up, and find yourself the only member of your species on an alien world, who speak in an alien language? What would you do, when you realize having a mate of your own species could be only a dream?
Definitely worth reading for both human, and non, alike.

The writing exhibited in this book is better than some "popular" writers who have dozens of books in print. "World-building" isn't an easy thing to do but Mr. Howell not only pulls it off wonderfully but creates perhaps the best example of a non-human race I've yet encountered in any medium. If his other works are ever printed I would definitly pick them up as well.
