If you have an edited and formatted manuscript in MS Word format that is in need of the "finishing touches," such as proper page numbering, formatting of headers, footers, chapter titles, and drop caps, then this may be the service for you.

Many authors find that MS Word can be difficult to manage when it comes to the specific items listed above, the very things which can give a manuscript the professional touch that so many self published books lack. If you are in need of help in these areas, BDDesign is the place to come.

Greg Banks is a graphic designer and author with over 20 years experience in layout and design of all kinds, and in addition has been a self publisher himself since 2004, and has helped countless authors self publish their own books over the last two years. You may see examples of my work at:

I reserve the right to refuse any project I feel is incompatible with my personal beliefs, or that I simply am unable to accept due to time constraints.

Please note: This service does not include formatting of the body of a manuscript, except in cases where minor adjustments are necessary to accomodate the formatting of the elements listed above. This service also does not include typographical error corrections, or any other editing/proofreading of the text. Service does include a free conversion to a PDF format fully compatible with Lulu, or any other print-on-demand or printing service you may be using (if you are using any service other than Lulu, please specify this in your initial email to me). If your book does not use use Lulu standard fonts, then your MS Word document should be saved with all fonts embedded if at all possible, as described below:

1. Open your document in MS Word.
2. Go to the Tools menu and select "Options."
3. Go to the "Save" tab and click the "Embed TrueType fonts" check box.
4. Click the "OK" button, go to: File menu -> "Save As...".
5. Type in a new filename, then save the file (this is to prevent you from overwriting the original version of this file).
6. Send this file to me as an email attachment.
