Description:

Sol, the Earth’s sun, has been slowly disappearing from the skies of the Makers’ worlds over the last century. Finally it has disappeared altogether, hidden by a spherical shell sealing Earth and the rest of the inner solar system from the rest of the universe. A decision is made by the Chorus, the group mind of the Makers, to send an expedition to Earth to determine why the shell has been built and what has occurred in the half millennia since the Makers fled persecution by the Earth’s Central Computer. The Makers cannot go themselves, to do so would endanger them all, so reluctantly the decision is made to send four human children who have not yet transformed into Makers. The children will take center stage in the events that will shape the future of all human kind. (Hardcover)
