I like this book very much. It's a simple story, covering a way of educating children that you don't normally see in books. Though Freya and Heath get equal billing in the title it is the former who gets to tell the story. A child's imagination can make the mundane seem magical - and this is the case here. It shows the children baking, drawing, gardening and shopping. It also explores - albeit it at a superficial level - some of the misconceptions people have about home education. If you home educate your children - or are thinking of doing so - this book could help you explain the idea to others. Even if you're not particularly interested in home education there's a gentle humour and genuine warmth that makes this book a delight to read - and re-read and re-read if you have children that are anything like mine.
