Sadly, I have only had the recent priviledge of meeting David whilst nursing him. He has captivated me with his stories and adventures of the mighty Atlantic crossing. I have read the book in just two days. I have never lifted an oar; my only rowing experiences are that on the local park lake but this book was simply brilliant. As I turned the pages, I imagined myself with them every inch of the way. A true 'page turner!'. And as for David - what a great guy.
