So who didn't watch American Idol at sometime or another? Seems that just about everyone did "Summertime" and there wasn't one that left me flat. Must be that American classic thing, in the patriotic blood. So I decided to derive a Canadian classic from it and during the smothering, Toronto summer heatI wrote these lyrics.
