This is one of those songs that I never get tired of playing and gets better everytime I do. I wrote it when I was hiking around Europe for 2 years with my guitar and backpack at the beginning of the 70's, working when I ran short of money, but generally travelling, meeting people, immersing in cultures I only read about in high school history. Not the history I remembered, but my high school french helped me. I wasn't the kind of person who 'found' myself in high school but really clued in to it during this time of my life.
