Description:Possibly the very best anti-war song ever. No harsh harangue but a strong argument presented sweetly and with reason. Recorded outdoors, live at Newlands Pavilion. Listed in: |

This is in the tradition of folk music and protest. The song expresses a universal sentiment about the ideal of ending war forever. Those who worry about the sound must realize it was recorded live and remember the tradition of Dylan's protest songs. We need to encourage this kind of protest more than ever today.

I really wanted to like this song. I'm behind any anti-war sentiment, but incredibly, I missed the entire message for the fingernails-on-blackboard tone deafness in which it was delivered. This artist's vocal range is, at best, 3 notes. Beyond that, all bets are off.
If we send this girl over there to sing, the enemy will lay down their weapons and run for cover with their hands over their ears! Or, maybe they'll just shoot themselves in the head to avoid the unpleaseant misery.
The Bush Administration is looking for acts like this to play repeatedly at deafening volume at Guantanamo so the detainees will give up whatever sanity they had left and proclaim Jesus as their personal savior. You may have something here.
What were you thinking? It is distinctly possible that PETA will have you arrested for strangling cats!
Don't quit your day job...
