Lists of movies with their years of release are only of limited value to non-readers of Film Index, except for the all-important fact that the book also includes almost 50 reproductions of film posters, all of them in full color, many of them presented on a full page, all of them striking colorful and almost all totally unfamiliar. The half-sheet for for "Laura" was one we have all seen many times, but that particular poster is the exception. We are also all aware of the familiar poster for "Adam's Rib" but the poster seen here is not only quite different, but absolutely brilliant. All told, "Index to Film Index" is actually a real coffee-table book to entrance and amaze your friends, especially movie buffs.
