Description:“Between two opposing Ellipses there is an end. And in the end there is nothing new…” The novelette “In The End” is a story of religion, sex, filth, purity and ultimately projects to the reader, in the vaguest of lights; the truth of all truths. This novelette was inspired by many factors in today’s world but most importantly the corruption of most religions; with a focus on the sexual deviancy prevalent in the Catholic Church. It is divided into two parts; the story of the “Robed One” and the story of the “Cloaked One”. Both of their lives flow in cycles and connect at times, as if by chance. The world in which they live is segregated and structured and yet no one is safe from becoming those they met the day before… this ambiguity is meant to mirror our own existence and show the reader that what we all come to realize on the cusp of our journey is that: our lives are nothing but elaborate freefalls… Listed in: |
