Description:

MEAT STREET - The E-BOOK Composer/playwright/performer, Neal Fox has been writing songs with social content since his early days at Polydor, RCA and Columbia Records. Several years ago he decided to find out why society was going downhill at an alarming rate. What he found was shocking and disturbing - and hard to believe. His research lead him to write Meat Street, a musical comedy about a planet that's lost its soul. Meat Street revealed some of the mental health industry's dirty little secrets. First came the musical, then the CD, and now--THE BOOK! Some revelations covered inside are: * How mental illnesses are discovered * Why there is an epidemic of mental illness sweeping the world * The New Psychiatry * How disobeying your doctor is a mental illness * The Federal government's plans to screen every man, woman and child for mental illness. So, as electroconvulsive therapy comes into vogue once more, sit back, enjoy the book, and - prepare to be shocked.

Life on Planet Earth - A Reality Check [ No Rating ] 18 Dec 2006
Don't ready this book unless you're prepared to be a little shocked, angered and perhaps betrayed. But don't worry, the author takes the sting out of the truth by using lots of humor, comic relief, satire and laugh-out-loud illustrations.

This book does a nice job of giving a summary history of our educational system, the mental health profession, it's beginnings and the misguided ideologies which have brought us to the precipice of cultural disaster.

I honestly couldn't stop reading it and that's saying something because this isn't my usual read. I found it easy to read and yet quite riveting. The author has obviously done a lot of homework, researching and backing up the quotes and facts throughout.

All and all... Jeez... super-worth the price. This book will really get your juices flowing, especially if you've ever had the inkling that something wasn't quite right. From there, you might even start asking yourself, "What can I do about all this?".
