There is one machine tool found in many home shops due to its extreme usefulness and low cost, a small Asian made (Taiwan) horizontal metal cutoff bandsaw, a stand alone unit. The basic unit is a three speed, 1 HP unit horizontal or vertical, 4" x 6" metal cutting bandsaw. These saws are all based on the same set of castings, they’re often called "$200 bandsaws", "4 by 6 bandsaws", or "Harbor Freight bandsaws", after an import company for lower cost tools.
