Description:FULLY ILLUSTRATED WITH IMAGES OF THE '60s. On a warm summer night in 1964, twelve-year-old Robbie Donner’s life is changed forever. He encounters hate, prejudice, and finally the ultimate evil—murder. In an effort to discover the identity of the killer who has been stalking his small mid-western town, he enlists the help of an unlikely community of allies that includes the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll: Elvis Presley. Presented with a kaleidoscope of mysteries, he, together with his faithful dog and boyhood gang, ventures deeper into danger. What follows is a story of friendship and courage, first-love and heartache, when Robbie and his friends go where they shouldn’t go, and find much more than they bargained for… Travel back to the ‘60s: the land of transistor radios, souped-up muscle cars, the British Rock Invasion, the Drive-In, mini-skirts, and Stri-Dex Medicated Pads, where Winston Tastes Good Like a Cigarette Should—where Nick at Night is prime-time TV. The kid's dialogue works, the clues bounce around like billard balls, leading you down rabbit wholes in the corner pocket, only to pop up on another table, with a whole new set of suspects.
