Lovely stuff, again. But again, I have to say that I don't understand all of the oblique references, but maybe we are not supposed to. I know it's wrong to expect you to elucidate, but I suspect some deep pain within you, has been turned on its head, to produce these bitter sweet marvels. The morose in me, made me like 'obituary' best, although that may well not be the intended emotion. To the previous postee, I hope you are not trying to claim you're his number one fan! You can't! I am! Way to go, Gopal.

As I said before my financial situation does not permit me to purchase these books that I want, However, I did purchase the downlaod of your book. You have a fan. You writings are deep full of emotion and always have a smooth flow, You are truly a talented man. I only took a short trip through what I am sure will be an amazing journey. I am a poet myself and must say, this writer is among the greatest I have read. If you ever need a standard to guide you through writing, pick this book up and begin there. If you just want to enjoy a poetic world you will not soon forget, you to should pick this book up.

Gopal writes with heart and soul. Flicker of Hope contains numerous striking images and beatiful phrases, and also displays a first-rate intelligence. Gopal manifests more cognitive originality than most of the poets I know. On occasion the picture within your mind will be suddenly stricken from one image to another with such grace and yet, the surprise twist will be pure gold. This book is must read. In "Flicker of Hope" this author writes with flowing emotion. You can feel what he feels and be carried along on the intensity of the pictoral views his words have drawn... I especially appreciated "By invitation only" and "Rerun". You can feel the nostalgia, and unanswered, What if?, questions, and sympathize with the lonliness... A very talented writer...

When I read poems of Gopal Lahiri, those make me wish I could write like him. The way he presents his subjects, especially the pictures of nature, truly incredible. He is absolutely a fantastic poet.

I really enjoyed "All my Sins" and "Three Fragments" from the ones I read in your book preview. I have full intentions on purchasing books here in the near future my financial situation just doesn't allow me to that at this time. I will definitely keep your link handy. Keep writing awesome job
