Description:"Whiskey and Pills: The Freshman Chronicles" is a collection of collegiate comics from Phillip Retuta, author of "Sausage-Fest" -- a strip that ran in the University of Illinois's Daily Illini newspaper from the Fall of 2003 to the Winter of 2005. If you've been living under a rock or an even nicer slab of concrete, "Sausage-Fest" is a social satire of college living, the lifestyles of young 20-somethings, and pop culture. This book contains the first full year of comics, additional artwork, and behind-the-scenes commentaries. If you're awesome, you'd best be buying it! Keywords:Listed in: |

I LOVE THIS BOOK. I like to read and laugh and read this while I'm grilling. I'll Throwdown with anyone who says this is a poor read! Phillip Retuta is the Iron Chef of independent comics!

I used to be a boozer, user, and a loser until I bought this book. It totally changed my life; now I'm addicted to sausages and slot machines.
This book is better than the Bible! Buy three of them!
As a 74-year-old grandmother of 7, I can honestly say that I have never laid eyes upon a more well-crafted comic collection than that of Mr. Retuta. Now even when I'm not experiencing a dimentia flashback I can still relive my college years. I was never incontinent before I bought this book, but I laughed so hard I now have "control issues." Definitely get yourself a copy, and perhaps some adult diapers as well.
