In response to Hurricane Katrina, Dr. K.B. Basseches launched an exhibition, "...and the levee broke: meditations on the power of water," to provide artists of all ages and backgrounds an outlet to empathize with the victims of Hurricane Katrina. With over 540 participating artists, this catalog organizes the a selection of the university, adult, and professional works from the nationally touring exhibition. Proceeds benefit the NAEA Hurricane Katrina Recovery Fund.
