The first album from Fox Allen! "Taa Daa!" is a nod to the early days of electronica, with influences such as Kraftwerk, Vangelis, and Rick Wakeman.
Fox likes to refer to this style as "Retro-Experimental" as it reflects many of the sensibilities that defined experimental music in the 70s and 80s. It carries a heavy European influence from start to finish, down to the ethereal sound of "Maistjarnan" (pronounced My-STYAR-nahn), a traditional Icelandic melody.
Included in this selection is an original retro-electronic soundtrack composed as an accompaniment to Georges Melies' 1902 film "Une Voyage dans la Lune."
Rounding out the mix are at least one orchestral track, "Prelude in A Minor," and at least one modern Euro-Inspired dance track, a lively version of the traditional melody "Plaisir D'Amour."
NEW: Also included in the album is a bonus alternate take of one of the songs, never before released to the public!...More >< Less
