This animation shows a moving charge in a uniform magnetic field and the resulting circular motion according to the right hand rule. The blue vector represents the charge's velocity (vo), the red vector is the centripetal force (F) and the yellow vector shows the magnetic field (B) coming out of the screen. The path is rotated to show the helical path that results when the velocity is not perpendicular to the magnetic field.
